So as you all know I'm taking a little summer vaca right now so I don't have a lot of time to update this, but I found a few things before that were clever enough that I could remember them even now. Jean seams coasters! (and trivets if you want to make em bigger). Got ahold of this idea courtesy of:

who has a TON of cute stuff on her blog. Totally worth scoping out the rest of it.
I have about 15 pairs of old jeans I'm making into a picnic quilt for me (someday) and I got so excited I started stripping out seams and rolling them up. These are super fun, fast and easy. it wouldn't be a bad craft idea for 12+ year old. (especially when it's raining out and they can't play in the sun)
Idea two is actually something I saw in a friend's house I was visiting. BRAIDED RUGS! I forgot how wonderful they are. And the beautiful thing about them, is you can make them yourself. And this one was in such bright happy colors it just made my day.

For a bath mat you can use old bath or dish towels (that's what my grandma did--or so I'm told). Remember you can also use old t-shirts (which feel really nice on your feetsies--or so I'm told).
.....I think my jean quilt just became a rug and some coasters....
GAR! I don't know why my links aren't linking, but I'll get it fixed asap. For now, just copy and paste them into your browser bar.
